Below are the rules for Fall Ball. Please note that all games will be 1 hour drop dead time limit (inning will not be completed). This is done to keep games on schedule.
Due to the back-to-school schedule for everyone this time of year, coaches have been told they are not allowed to practice more than 2 hours per week. If your coach is requiring more than 2 hours per week of practice, please let us know by emailing igsa@igsasoftball.com. All emails will be kept confidential.
Coach Pitch:

2 defensive coaches are allowed in foul territory in the grass

Pitching coach stays either in circle or position themselves foul territory, away from the play.

IGSA rules that apply to all divisions

Sportsmanship is not optional, it is mandatory expectation.

Head coach is responsible for all coaches, all fans and girls.

First offense, is a warning by the umpire

Second offense, is restriction to the bench

Not allowed to coach the rest of the game

Coach will receive a call from UIC to discuss behavior.

At the end of the game, all coaches and players will shake hands with opposing team

Any players present at the start of the game, every attempt will be made to make sure that they get an at bat.

Coaches are encouraged to hustle the girls between innings, in order to get more playing time.

Umpires are being asked to stay within (1) minute between innings
